Our Story
At LAVON CUSTOM CREATIONS, we believe that every piece of clothing has a story to tell. The company founded by a Mother who transformed her Grief into creativity. In 2019 our Daughter Zaria La'von (back row left) passed away suddenly due to complications from an asthma attack our lives were rocked to the core. At the tender age of 20 years old Zaria left a lasting impact on the lives of those she knew personally, as well as strangers. As a family, we wanted to honor her legacy by continuing her story where she left off. Creativity was a big part of who she was, and we wanted to capture that to allow her story to live on. As her Mom, I took up the mission. I had never sewn before, so I enrolled in monthly classes at my church to learn. I almost quit after the first class because I didn't know how to operate the sewing machine, but I persevered. In the midst of it all, God had a BIGGER plan! I made my first garment, and I was hooked. Sewing became therapy for my Grief. Birthed from our pain, LAVON CUSTOM CREATIONS was born. Our mission is to craft unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that resonate with individuality and passion. We donate a portion from each purchase to aafa Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in memory of Zaria La'Von Davis.
